So… what’s this I hear about Rich Orloff and his 30@30 Project?

“Ha!”

WorkShop’s witty and prolific Rich Orloff has an exciting proposition for you and your theater friends.

He says:

“The 30th anniversary of my first professional theater production will be December 7, and I want to celebrate with a gift to the theater community.

Over the last 30 years, I’ve written the equivalent of 30 full-length plays (including my full-length collections of one-acts and short plays).  They’ve not only had over 1200 productions around the world, but they’ve also provided me with hundreds of joyous and rewarding adventures.

In gratitude, I’m creating the 30@30 Project:  During the first week of December 2015, anyone in the theater community can present my plays royalty-free.

That’s right.  Anyone.  Anywhere.  Free.

Below you’ll find a list of my plays which are available for readings and productions as part of this event.  Click on any title for more information.

“Playing Doctor:

All theaters and groups that join the 30@30 Project will be mentioned in my promotion for the project and listed on my website with a link to their production.  My hope is that the project will bring attention not only to my plays but also to everyone who participates.

If you’d like to consider joining the 30@30 Project and read perusal copies of up to three plays, just write me at orloffplays@gmail.com.

Please share this information with anyone and everyone you think might be interested.  I’d like this to be a big party. I have a lot to celebrate.”

Theatrically yours,

Rich Orloff

Note:  The offer of being able to present these plays royalty-free is good for productions and readings during December 1 – 7, 2015 ONLY.

Plays available for production or readings:

Available for readings only:

*collections of one-acts or short plays

The fine print:  (1) To get permission to present my plays, one will need to fill out an application form and have it approved.  Yep, it’s that simple!   (2) Ten of my plays aren’t available, including two new plays that I’m still revising and my eight short play collections published by Playscripts, which I’m not contractually allowed to permit them to be produced royalty-free.
