Cyclone and the Pig-Faced Lady  – Three Nights Only! Get down here!

A 3-Day Concert Reading in The Jewel Box Theater

Book and Lyrics by Dana Leslie Goldstein

Music by Rima Fand

Directed by Thomas Coté

If you liked Brooklyn better back when it was still, you know, Brooklyn, then we have a treat for you this week. Cyclone and the Pig-Faced Lady is a wonderful new musical being presented as a concert reading this week in our Jewel Box Theater! With book and lyrics by Dana Leslie Goldstein (the woman behind Liberty) and music by Rima Fand, Cyclone and the Pig-Faced Lady will bring you back to Coney Island the way it used to be. Feel the salty air and hum the incredible tunes! Director Thomas Coté works his usual magic with an amazing cast. You won’t want to miss it! Here are the deets:

Sally Kaplan is so in love with the world she’s created in her hit comic book Cyclone, she lets it seduce her away from her real life. Set in the glitzy, seedy, sexy Coney Island of the Roaring Twenties, her heroines fight the bad guys and always save the day. But when tragedy strikes in the real world, Sally must find a way to rescue herself.

The action of the play takes place in and around Brooklyn, 1998-2002, as well as in Coney Island in the late 1920s.  Running time: 2 hours   CYCLONE is performed with one intermission
