Another heart wrenching loss.
Company Artist and Broadway Veteran, Patricia O’Connell, passed away last week. She was was a hugely talented artist who worked consistently and well throughout her life.
Patricia had performed just about everywhere, and with just about everyone in the world of theatre She was kind, warm, and had a wonderful wit that was always leavened with elegance and charm. She was a dear friend to me and to many. There has never been a better way to spend an evening in New York than to sit down for a meal at Joe Allen’s on 46th Street in the company of Patricia and her longtime love, Jane.
Patricia was a sparkling gem in this all-too-often degraded world, and a class act in every respect. We shall not look upon her like again.
Funeral services are tomorrow, Friday, May 19 at 10:30 AM at St. Jean Baptiste Church, Lexington Avenue and East 76th St. Burial to follow. Anyone wishing to come to the cemetery should contact Jane Trichter at 212-737-7693.
There will be a gathering at Joe Allen Restaurant, 326 West 46th Street, on Friday from 4pm to 5:30pm. Please come and lift a glass to Patricia. All welcome.
